A Message From the Superintendent

Rosemary Rooker

On behalf of the Findlay Digital Academy, I would like to welcome the students and families to FDA for the 2024-25 school year! FDA is an online high school that has been in existence since 2005.

FDA has a proven model that works for students who have not been successful in the traditional school setting.  Through our academic coaches, drop-in tutoring lab and virtual tutoring, students are provided with support and encouragement to be successful and earn their high school diploma and look beyond to life after graduation.

FDA serves students up through the age of 22 from 15 area school districts surrounding Findlay, Ohio. Our school consistently earns some of the highest graduation rates in the state of Ohio when compared to similar online schools that focus on at-risk students.

Additionally, FDA in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Education, is a provider for the 22+ Adult High School diploma program. This is a free, online high school diploma program for area adults who reside in our enrollment area.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have…we would love to give you a tour of our facility.

Prepare for Your Future

Learn in an Environment
that Works for You

The curriculum is delivered on-line through the Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) software. This curriculum is aligned with the Ohio CORE standards. Most coursework is interactive between the student and computer software; however, there are also written assignments that the students must complete and submit to their on-line HQT teacher. An engaging and challenging curriculum is offered through the VLA environment. Instruction is provided through simulations, animations, recorded lectures, online tutorials, Elluminate sessions, multimedia, and other avenues. Students can opt to have the computer read the lesson to them. The curriculum is a continuous progress model and students can work at their own pace. However, the academy sets minimum course completion requirements. Students are expected to work a minimum of 26 hours a week on their coursework.

Testimonials

What Graduates are Saying

“I graduated from Findlay Digital and was able to find a job that makes $20 an hour.  If I didn’t come here, I feel like I wouldn’t have graduated.  I lived on my own and going to school here helped me with time management.  The coaches pushed me to get things done…which really helped me.”

Zavier

Findlay Digital Academy is a great online school that allows students to do schoolwork anywhere, anytime, and at their own pace. FDA helped me to achieve many of my goals as a high student. I wanted to finish my high school requirements as soon as possible to allow me to take College Credit Plus (CCP) classes during my senior year.  The entire staff was very kind, caring, patient, helpful, and wonderful tutors for all of my subjects.  The staff really showed the care they have for their students and their dedication to helping everyone find their success.

Katherine

I really loved that the coaches would always check up on me and offer their support to help me get my work done.
