Kimberly Bash is a Senior Program Officer at The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. She joined the Foundation in May 2002, initially leading a local K-16 youth philanthropy and service-learning partnership. She has also served as Director of the Cleveland Municipal School District’s EZ-UROG School to Career Program, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central Ohio, adjunct faculty at Owens Community College and Athletic Director for the East Toledo Family Center. Kimberly’s focus areas are education, youth and health in addition to coalition building and collective impact initiatives working to create lasting solutions to social problems. She received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (History/Political Science) from the University of Toledo and her Master of Public Administration degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Edith Wannemacher
Dr. Edith Wannemacher, retired Director of Millstream Career and Technology Center, began her 39 year career in education as a Fifth and Sixth Grade teacher in Kalida, Ohio. She taught Junior High Special Education in Rocky Ford, Colorado, for three years before returning to Ohio to complete her Masters in Guidance and Counseling. She worked as a school counselor for one year in Mansfield City School and 15 years in Kenton City Schools. Upon completion of her doctorate, she served as Middle School Principal in Pandora Gilboa Local Schools for seven years. She came to Findlay City School to work as the Assistant Director of Millstream Career and Technology Center before becoming its director. Dr. Wannemacher serves on Career Technology Program Advisory Boards for Vangard Sentinel and Millstream. She volunteers in the community at the Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay and St. Michael’s Elementary School. Dr. Wannemacher grew up in Cloverdale, Ohio and graduated from Ottoville High School. She received her BA from Mary Manse College, Toledo, Ohio. She is one of seven children.
Pastor Alfred Delacruz
For the last four years, Alfred DelaCruz has been the Pastor of Harvest Time International Ministries here in Findlay. He is also a community advocate – volunteering with various organizations throughout Findlay. Pastor DelaCruz has worked with recovering drug and alcohol addicts for the last decade, and currently serves as the Chaplain for the sheriff’s department. When asked about his reason for being on the board, he states, “It’s great to be working with an organization that is reaching out to the young people and parents in this community. We are making an impact through education.”
Pastor DelaCruz has been married for 35 years and has three children.
Melissa LaRocco is an attorney with Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. and is the current Pro Bono Director for the organization as well as their sister organization Advocates for Basic Legal Equality. Melissa develops and implements programs and activities specifically designed to involved attorneys based in rural counties in pro bono services and activities. Melissa also participates in a large amount of community outreach and education. Melissa graduated from Manchester University with a B.A. in Communication and Political Science. She went on to receive her J.D. from Ohio Northern Pettit College of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2005. Melissa is an active member of the Hancock, Sandusky, and Seneca Bar Associations. She is active within the community with volunteer work for numerous organizations. Melissa lives in Findlay with her husband David and their two sons Owen and Gavin.
Jeff Martin has been a resident of Findlay since 2006 when he and his family moved here in order to be a part of The Catalyst Church.
Jeff has worked as a software developer for the past 15 years. He is currently an Independent Consultant specializing in ColdFusion development of web-based applications. Jeff holds a BA in Psychology from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. He is currently working towards his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy through Northcentral University.
Jeff and his wife, Keli, have 6 children ranging in age from 1 year-old to 15 years-old. Their oldest child has attended Findlay Digital Academy for the past two years. Jeff serves as Elder and head of the tech team at The Catalyst Church in Findlay, Ohio. He also serves as a Parent Representative for Hancock County’s Family First Council.
Bill O. Miller
Bill Miller, a charter board member of the Academy, is a native of Rocky River, Ohio, and earned his B.A. from The Ohio State University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned an officer in the United States Air Force and served as a staff officer for four years, during which he gained graduate credits at the University of North Dakota. He joined Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in 1967 and served for 39 years in several human resource positions, retiring as Corporate Director Salaried Personnel. He has served volunteer and leadership roles in numerous civic, educational, cultural and Christian organizations and has served on advisory boards at four colleges and universities. Additionally, he taught adjunct for 20 years at the University of Findlay and Heidelberg College. He and his wife, Gail, have three grown children and four grandchildren.
William D. Miller
Pastor Will Miller has been a resident of Findlay since 1991 when he and his family moved here from PA to attend Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Pastor Will is employed by College First Church of God and The University of Findlay. He is Director of Christian Ministries there. Pastor Will has been the Campus Pastor at UF since 1993. He holds an ASB in Data Processing from Thompson Institute, a BS in Technology Management from The University of Findlay, and a Master’s of Divinity from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Beth, have three sons. The two older sons are graduates of Findlay High School and the younger son is a graduate of Findlay Digital Academy.
